Guanajuato, Gto., August 4, 2016.- Next Saturday August 13th at the Teatro Principal, two functions of the musical "Él me mintió," produced by Débora Guerra Navarro, student from the degree in Interior Design from the Division of Architecture, Art and Design (DAAD) from Campus Guanajuato.
What at first conceived months ago as a degree project, it grew on expectations and reach, and has surpassed the personal interest of the young student who, together with friends from other degrees, will focus the results from their project in food aid for a marginal community in this capital city.
The access "cost" to the musical, will be nonperishable food such as sugar, beans, rice, canned goods, oils and groceries in general, which will be delivered at the community of Rosa de Castilla through the Social Service group to Low Income Resources (SESCOBRE).
Débora Guerra offered a conference accompanied by Cynthia Medina García, student from the degree in Industrial Relations, María Luisa Vázquez García who studies Chemical Engineering and Miguel Montes de Oca, all of them actors in the musical, in which Rocío Torres will also participate, student from the degree in Accounting and Mariana Alcázar, stage director.
They explained that the original script is from the dramaturge José Manuel López Velarde under the name "mentiras, el musical," which Débora Guerra saw in Mexico City and thought it would be a good idea to present it in Guanajuato, where the most part of the musical plays focus in the youth, but, in this case, they seek an adult audience.
Hence, they interpret song from the 80s, at their time interpreted by singers such as Dulce, Yuri, Daniela Romo, Lupita D'Alessio, Amanda Miguel, Manuel Mijares, Emmanuel, José José and Napoleón, in addition of making reference to famous soap operas in that time, with clothing and scenography in that time, like a disco.
They thanked the total support the University of Guanajuato (UG) has provided to their project, particularly from the Division's Director, M.A. Martin Aguilera Morales and the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, as well as the Director of Student Development from UG, M.A. Osvaldo Chávez.
The two functions will also have live music, will be at 3pm and another at 7pm on Saturday 13 at the Teatro Principal.
