Guanajuato, Gto., August 4, 2016.- With the purpose to promote the sense of responsibility towards the community, the High School College summoned the students from its schools to contest for one of the twelve scholarships to participate in the "Summer 4-H" at West Virginia University, US.

Such camp has the objective to offer the participant a cultural and educational exchange.

For a week, the high school students from the University of Guanajuato, had the opportunity to relate with students of the same age from different cities of West Virginia state, Morgan Town, as well as China's delegation. Besides, they knew the different modes of life and culture from the participants, practiced the English language, valued their home and above all, awakened loyalty and admiration for their country.

The purpose of this scholarship to provide the personal development of the participants by living experiences that allow the personal comprehension and development of trust of one-self at the time of assuming leadership roles, as well as to promote internationalization experiences among high school students, and strengthen the Program 4-H among schools.

For the students who attended the camp was an unforgettable experience, since, besides knowing the culture and relate with youth from other countries, they could visit other important sites such as the White House, Washington Monument (Obelisk), Lincoln Memorial, Korea war memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. memorial, the Smithsonian, the Museum of Natural History, Art Museum and the Air & Space Museum.

This way, the participating students have the labor to promote the 4-H program in the schools and strengthen the existing programs in UG's High Schools.
