León, Gto., August 5, 2016.- At the building of the Division of Sciences and Engineering from the University of Guanajuato Campus León, Dr. Luis Arturo Ureña López presented, with the purpose to give the conference called "Imagining the universe, a search for its essential components" which split in two, in the first he gave a small introduction of what is known about the universe and its composition.

In the second part of the conference he exposed more thoroughly his research, based on a model denominated "cosmological standard", integrated by Klein Gordon's equation, that gives the result of the scalar field in the dark matter of the universe. This scalar field has been used to explain the origin of the mass the elemental particles. In addition, he highlighted the essential components for the evolution of cosmos.

With this research, Dr. Ureña López who belongs to the Department of Physics at UG in 2003, he received the prize for research from the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the research prize of the academy is reserved for young researchers of approximately 40 years old or less, given based in the research results that the scientist has achieved before that age.

This prize is the most important of the academy, due to the recognition of the young researchers. It is worthy to mention that only two UG professors have obtained it, Dr. Ureña López and Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, who currently is Academic Secretary of the University of Guanajuato.
