Guanajuato, Gto., August 8, 2016.- The Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández and the Director of the Division of Engineering, Dr. Luis Enrique Mendoza Puga, welcomed 250 new students of such division, which will come to enrich with their enthusiasm and commitment to college life of this Campus.

During the inauguration of the induction talk for new students of the Division of Engineering (DI), Dr. Javier Corona exhorted them to a new discipline in their studies and wished them that the experience in the University of Guanajuato is one of the best stages in their personal life, so they can be part of the construction of a better country.

In that same tone, Dr. Mendoza Puga reminded them of the privilege they have by being part of the youth that access higher education, hence, he urged them to take advantage of their studies and participate in sport, cultural, tradition and healthy coexistence activities that have been organized for them, "welcome and feel proud to belong to this institutions", he said.

During the induction session of the Division of Engineering, they showed to the young students, the academic rights, the educational model, sports, entrepreneurship, tutoring, medical services, student mobility possibilities, social service, among others.

At the ceremony were also present, M.A. Victor Guillermo Flores Rodríguez, Academic Secretary of the Division of Engineering; M.A. José de Jesús González García, Procurator of the Academic Rights; Eng. Francisco Huerta Castillo, Director of the Department of Civil Engineering; Dr. Gilberto Carreño Aguilera, Director of the Department of Geomatics and Hydraulic Engineering and M.C. Federico Vogel González, Director of the Department in Mines, Geology and Metallurgy Engineering.
