Guanajuato, Gto., August 8, 2016.- With the objective to promote the inclusion and versatility of culture, the Direction of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato (UG) through Art Spaces participated in the National Program of Heritage Education for Summer.
The program, organized by the Department of Culture and National Institute of Bellas Artes, is a proposal that throughout its history has united efforts with diverse cultural instances within the country to offer activities to their visitors during the summer vacations.
In the 2016 edition, the main topic was museums and communities, since it stands out that a sustainable and linked museum to their community is an integral institution that articulates research, preservation, communication and reactivation of heritage activities.
The Direction of Cultural Extension participated with informative talks on the topic, which were held in the two Summer schools established in the city of Guanajuato as part of the program of the Department of Public Education.
In this way, the attendees made diverse activities where they turned into active users of their cultural and artistic heritage and with which they had a direct approach with the heritage that the University of Guanajuato deposits.
These actions and programs divulge the knowledge and respect for the material and immaterial heritage; and encourage the interaction among museums and their community, as well as the instrumentation of networks that allow sharing experiences in the topic.
