Guanajuato, Gto. Such project was carried on between the University of Guanajuato, through the Center of Environmental Liaison A.C., the city of Yuriria and the coordination of the research and field work through the program of Environmental Handling and Sustainability.

The active participation of undergrads, master and Ph.D. students, as well as specialist professors in topics related with the construction of the sustainable development from UG with this project, allowed to establish strategies with principles and technical feasible sustainability criteria, economically feasible and socially acceptable for the comprehensive handling of the urban solid residue.

The liaison of the University of Guanajuato with institutions in the state, allows to know the social problems, and from there implement solution to specific problems involving society.
