León, Gto., August 15, 2016.- Dr. Alex Ricardo Caldera Ortega, professor-researcher at the Department of Public Management and Development of Campus León, and Lic. Irma Concepción Flores Buenrostro, graduate from the educational program of Public Management and current representative of the Civil Association "Redefine Mexico," took oath as members of the Citizen Council of Social Comptrollership of the city of León.

Through civil associations, it was determined the collaboration of Campus León from the University of Guanajuato (UG) in the design of this organism. Equally, the professors of Public Management and Development of the same campus supported the design of the regulation.

The council has the main function to receive complaints from the citizens and oversee the government processes knowing the investigations and participating in an orderly and active fashion together with the Social Comptrollership.

The selection process of the council began last June 24th with the publication of the regulation and time after the summon was published. Here, 32 proposals were presented before Municipal Comptrollership, which were analyzed by the Selection Committee.

The act was held in the central patio of the Presidency's building, in charge of the municipal president, Lic. Héctor López Santillana. The council is integrated by 9 councilors, two of them are members of the UG community: Guillermo González Grycuk, who is an independent citizen; Teresa Aguilera Franco, who works as President of the School of Accountants; Paola Maria del Sol Vázquez Villegas, representative of the "Caja Popular Mexicana;" Luis Felipe Carpizo, President of the School of Architects; Enrique Dorantes Díaz, representative of the business sector; Ana Wendy Muñoz Gómez, teacher at the Universidad Iberoamericana de León and Luis Antonio Alanis Villareal, President of the Council of the Foundation Veamos México A.C.
