Guanajuato, Gto., August 17, 2016.- Due that next year will be a century of the promulgation of the constitution that rules us, the Department of History of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanitieis (DCSH) of Campus Guanajuato, in collaboration with the State's Congress, will dedicate this commemoration to the fourteenth edition of the Journeys of History, to be held from August 24 to 26 at the venue DCSH and the Legislative House of Guanajuato.

For three days, specialists of diverse educational institutions of the country, such as the University of Guanajuato, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Benémerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Instituto Mora, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, among others, will reflect on the constitutional trajectory in Mexico: the distinct Mexican constitutions, as well as the processes that brought them to life, frequenting the liaison between the national and local.

Likewise, there will be a panel for discussion on the validity of the 1917's constitution with the participation of researchers from different disciplines and, therefore, from different perspectives, such as Law, Philosophy, Politics and History.

Besides the work tables, stand out the Magister conferences of Dr. Hira de Gortari from the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM), Dr. Catherine Andrews and Dr. Luis Barrón, ambos from the Research and Economic Teaching Center; as well as the documentary expo "El poder legislative de Guanajuato: trayectoria constitucional, 1822-1917," which will be exhibited in the Legislative House of Guanajuato.

This theme will complete fourteen editions of the Journeys of History, that emerged in 2002, as an initiative of the professors from the degree in History, with the interest to create an academic space for discussion mainly for the students, although in the last years has had the attendance of a much broader audience.
