Guanajuato, Gto., August 19, 2016.- Within activities of "Culture, welcome," program organized by the Direction of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the cycle of expos of visual arts was inaugurated at the galleries of the University of Guanajuato.

"Culture, welcome" has the objective to integrate the students to the cultural life of the House of Studies and encourage the appreciation for the diverse artistic expressions, as well as to show the artistic talent of the college students.

At the Gallery Jesús Gallardo is exhibited "Estadías imagínales," a collective expo of students of photography of the Department of Visual Arts. While in "Yo Dibujo" are shown the works from the students of the Drawing workshop of the Deaprtment of Visual Arts, which can be appreciated in "El Atrio."

The artists and teacher at the Deaprtment of Visual Arts of the University of Guanajuato, Alberto Martínez is part of this series of exhibitions with "XXX Festiva", a retrospective of drawing and engraving in an homage to his 30 years as professor, which will be in the Polyvalent Gallery.

Another expo that is done to acknowledge the 30 years of trajectory is, "Irisaciones matéricas," of Humberto Garcés. The artistic corridor Tomás Chávez Morado holds the exhibit that reveals the capacity of the author to combine perception and imagination with the technical knowledge in sculpture.

The photographer Gustavo López participates with "El libro de las singualridades," a collection integrated by images that have had a special meaning in the artist's life and are now exhibited in the hall "Hermenegildo Bustos."

These works will be available at the university halls until September 15th, in a schedule from 10:00 to 14:30 and from 15:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Friday. For more information, you can check the site www.extension.ugto.mx
